A sea of phones point towards the artist on stage, each audience memeber hoping their idol will grab their device and snap a selfie or video during the performance.Star quickly makes her way onto the stage and lights up the room with her edgy energy and sharp bars.“What's up? How are you doing?/

STAR BANDZ, stage name of Star Estrella Ana Flowers, is a seventeen year old rapper from Chicago. She possesses the teen rap superstar of Roxanne Shanté and the freshness of the digital age.She is joined by fellow teenage rap prodigies DD Osama and Sugarhill Ddot on The New Wave Tour 2025. Tonight, May 25th, the young rapper friends play Gramercy Theatre in downtown Manhattan.STAR BANDZ sports rebellious music, with lyrical content spanning relationships, street life, wealth, dreams, and growing up. Confrontational, bass-heavy, and sometimes controversial, Trap and Drill music have become a global phenomenon, especially resonating with a lot of low-income and minority youth.

At the Gramercy show, there’s a noticeable presence of parents with their teenagers. The presence of guardians doesn't hold any fan back though, as they rock OUT!During Sugarhill Ddot’s set, Star arrives back on stage for “My Baby”, their popular collab track that has reached over 15 million streams on Spotify and become a hit on TikTok. Fans sing back the catchy remix as Sugarhill and Star throw T-shirts into the crowd.Star raps:
“It's hard to be classy 'cause I'm a trench baby/
I know he not loyal, so I can't be his lady/
Ask me how I know, 'cause I heard he talk to Katie/
He get money, I get money, so the pape' don't persuade me”Closing the show was DD Osama, as an entourage of family and friends gathered around to dance on stage.
